Broadwater is situated in a quiet residential area just a short walk from the famous Pantiles where you will find many outdoor sunny cafes, restaurants, regular markets and the Chalybeate Spring discovered in 1606.
Tunbridge Wells is an elegant Georgian spa-town of considerable interest which has retained many of its pleasant open spaces close to the centre of the town while at the same time providing excellent shopping both in the older part of the town with its many individual shops as well as the modern Royal Victoria Place.
Tunbridge Wells is an excellent centre from which to visit many famous National Trust properties, historic sites and gardens. Notable houses of historic interest include Winston Churchill’s home Chartwell, Anne Boleyn’s family home Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Knole, Leeds Castle, Ightham Mote, Bodiam Castle and Rudyard Kipling’s home Batemens.
Garden lovers can visit Sissinghurst Castle, Great Dixter, Scotney Castle and many other lovely gardens that we are lucky to have on our doorstep.
The ancient towns of Rye and Battle are just a short drive away and the south coast is an easy drive for visiting Eastbourne, Brighton and many other beautiful locations such as Beachy Head and the Seven Sister white cliffs.
There is a frequent rail service from Tunbridge Wells into London in just 45 minutes and both Canterbury and Windsor make great days out.
We have many country pubs and restaurants just a short drive away and there are many walks from Tunbridge Wells or nearby. A trip on the Spa Valley railway also makes an enjoyable outing.
